Fernando and Kim are a spectacular couple I had the pleasure of photographing in June. They had been together for four years at the time of their engagement and met through friends in the medical field. They got engaged under the stars at Kim's parents cabin with the telescope looking at the moon! This was also part of the inspiration for the blue and silver theme they used. Their wedding was elegant, themed with silver and blue and held at Sacred Heart Church in Erie, PA with a reception at the Sheraton Bayfront Hotel. Here are some more fun details from Kim's words about her wedding, and following some of my favorite images! I also wanted to note that I photographed this wedding with the amazing Jessica Lewis and some of my favorites are images she took!

Cake: “It takes the Cake, ” by Wendy Adams. Fernando and I helped to design the look of the cake. It was classic white with raspberry filling. It was as beautiful as it was delicious.
Flowers: Joel's Flower Shoppe. Joel went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful. We used white roses, white and blue hydrangeas, light blue dalphium, stephanotis and dusty miller to add the touch of silver to accent the room. My bouquet was amazing, cascade style stephanotis with crystal centers, white peonies and ivory roses!
Band/DJ: DJ Tony Berarducci was charming and a perfect fit for our reception. The lighting he set up complemented the room perfectly, and he was a true class act. He kept the guests entertained and dancing all night. Our live band was a big hit! The Rick Holland Band traveled from Rochester, NY to really make our night special. Their lead singer, Lindsey Holland, had an amazing voice, and the 6 piece jazz swing band pleased all the guests at any age with their classic upbeat romantic Frank Sinatra style.

Chairs/Decorations: We splurged for the silver Chiavari chairs, and we were so glad we did. The chairs were brand new when they arrived, and they made the ball room at the Sheraton really elegant!! The silver and the blue colors came together with the refection of the water for a truly amazing waterfront decor for our reception.

Where did you get the inspiration for your elegant wedding? Did you design your own centerpieces/or other elements? My inspiration for the wedding came from a elegant romance style. We were inspired by Lake Erie, and the beauty of the water down at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront in the spring. Our colors where a perfect complement to the blue and silver of the water in the spring time. My mother was a big help, she has been a events coordinator for a long time, and she knew how to make a room look beautiful!!

What is your favorite memory from the day? There were so many…but probably dancing my first dance with my husband!

If you could change one thing from the day, would you? Just would have taken more time to eat more of the wedding cake!

Where did you go on your honeymoon? St. Lucia, we stayed at an amazing private resort with our very own villa and infinity pool for 7 glorious nights!!!

Any other details you want to share? My dress was also my inspiration for the wedding, I loved the classic romantic look of my Allure Couture dress! A sweet lady  Nancy Fioretti did my make-up, she was a delight to work with, and I would recommend her to all the girls in Erie. Also, I had my hair done by Amanda at Panache, who truly made me feel like a princess. Also wanted to mention that my best friend travelled from California on her sons birthday to be my maid of  honor!

Rachel Lusky photography provided us with the most wonderful wedding memories we could have asked for. Our whole experience with Rachel was excellent. She was flexible with our busy schedule, and worked with us from the engagement photo shoot, all the way to our final touches on our wedding album. She is a true professional, and her pictures are artistic, yet captured our emotions to truly bring our special day back to life every time we look at them. I highly recommend Rachel Lusky photography to anyone who wants to cherish their memories on photo. We will surely have her capture our special moments again in the future! Thanks again for making our memories so wonderful with our pictures and our amazing album!

Well, I’m finally going to try to get some of my sessions and weddings from this year blogged on the new site! I dropped off the face of the “blog earth” with such an amazing and busy summer. Here’s a beautiful, warm engagement session to start you off and warm you up!

Lindsay & Russ are an awesome couple getting married in June 2013. I took their engagement photos back in June of this year! We visited some landmark areas in Erie, PA for their engagement session – starting around Gannon University where they met in 2006. He and his roommates lived across the hall from Lindsay and her roommates. They started dating in October 2008. He proposed to her on a cruise in Half Moon Cay, Bahamas in October 2011. He is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) downtown and Lindsay is a nurse at Saint Vincent in the ICU.

After Gannon we went down to Presque Isle and got some beautiful shots on the beach and in the sand & trees! We had so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know them!

Dan & Alyson are an amazing and sweet couple with incredible smiles and joy. It was such a great day to be part of their wedding. They had the largest wedding party I've ever photographed (26 including them + 2 jr groomsmen and a flowergirl!) The sunny day flew by and they were surrounded by so much love around them. Here are some of my favorites! Excuse all the pictures of Alyson but she was so beautiful I couldn't pick!
